Terms of Use

Effective July 1, 2026

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Kyokushin Kan technical library (the “Service”), operated by The Society for the Betterment of the Human Condition Through the Training (doing business as “Ligo Dojo”), a North Carolina 501(c)(3) nonprofit (“we,” “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

The Service

The Service is a subscription video library of the Kyokushin Kan curriculum, provided for your personal, non-commercial training use.

Your account

You must provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

You must be at least 13 to use the Service. If you are under 18 (or the age of majority where you live), a parent or legal guardian must agree to these Terms on your behalf and is responsible for your account, including any payment.

Membership and billing

Access to the Service requires a paid membership that renews automatically for the price and billing interval shown when you subscribe, until you cancel. By subscribing you authorize a recurring charge through our payment processor, Stripe. You may cancel at any time, and access continues through the end of the current paid period. We do not provide refunds for partial periods except where required by law or at our discretion, and we will give advance notice of any price change as required by law.

Acceptable use and license

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to stream the content for your own training. You may not copy, download (except through features we provide), redistribute, publicly display, share your account, or resell access to the Service or its content.

Content and intellectual property

The content and the Service are owned by us and our instructors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. No rights are granted to you except the limited license above.

Health and safety

The Service provides martial-arts instruction for general informational purposes. Physical training carries a risk of injury. Consult a qualified physician before beginning, train within your ability and under qualified supervision where appropriate, and stop if you feel unwell. You assume all risk associated with your training; we are not responsible for injuries arising from use of the content.

Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Termination

We may suspend or end your access if you violate these Terms or misuse the Service. You may stop using the Service and cancel your membership at any time.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms, which we will post here with a new effective date.

General

If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your account or these Terms; we may assign them to a successor. These Terms are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
